Description of the first edition
A wide circle of Specialists and Experts in industry visited the International Trade Fair and Congress Centre on 7-9 November. The opportunity to meet was the first edition of International Industry Fair WARSAW INDUSTRY WEEK 2016. All industry branches were presented during the event: machines and tools for metal, wood and plastic processing, automation and robotisation of industrial processes as well as software, industrial metrology, cutting and grinding, research and development, OHS and many more.
Knowledge provided during the fair was definitely not lacking. Modern technologies connected with surface processing, presentation of scientific achievements of universities of technology, specialists in robotics – Warsaw Industry Week was a highly inspiring event visited by market leaders.
The Fair was held under the auspices of the Minister of Development, Mayor of Rzeszów, Mazowieckie Voivodship Marshall and Podkarpackie Voivodship Marshall. The Honorary Patron of the “Horizon 2020” conference was the Minister of Science and Higher Education. The Partner City for the event was Rzeszów – the Capital City of Innovation – the leading economic region in Poland being the place of operation of many innovative Polish and foreign enterprises.
The Honorary Patron of the event was also Aviation Valley – Key National Cluster – associating leading companies in the area of aviation. Aside from trade journals, the event was supported by national media such as WP.PL, RMF FM , POLSAT TV or WPROST.
A significant role was also played by conference “HORIZON 2020 AS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR POLISH INNOVATIONS IN EU” – an event accompanying Warsaw Industry Week. The conference under the auspices of the Vice-president of the Council of Ministers, the Minster of Science and Higher Education – Jarosław Gowin – was co-organised by the Main Council of the Research Institutes with cooperation of the National Contact Point of EU Research Programmes and Ptak Warsaw Expo.
The Fair included many discussion about the latest currents, trends and technologies in production. The listeners could extend their knowledge, learn about modern technologies and benefits derived from implementation of modern solutions connected with Industry 4.0.
The Tech Brainers R&D Club team made it possible to learn about social and business trends in the power sector and to have fruitful networking meetings.
For the youth planning their future in the industry business, demonstrations of amateur robotics were held by the members of “ROBO” Automatic and Robotic Student Scientific Club of the Rzeszów University of Technology, including a demonstration of a Martian field vehicle constructed by students in Rzeszów and winning the most prominent world contests of field vehicle constructors as well as a demonstration of the latest laser technologies under production, in the Laser 4.0 Zone, which was co-organised with Gravotech, one of the world leaders in engraving, industry software and industrial lasers.
Profile school students could take extraordinary practical classes held by specialists in technology and modern industrial technologies. Military University of Technology presented cutting-edge exhibits in the Engineer 4.0 zone. Its faculty held classes on robotics and robot programming as well.
We are the first in Poland to present innovative industry
on a large scale. The great success of the first edition showed that we are on a very good path to creating the largest business centre in Central and Eastern Europe for presentation of offers by industrial equipment and accessory producers and distributors.
